Ameriloan

Keep getting phone calls to verify my bank info to process my loan. Did not apply for a loan and I called and told them as much. Hope they got the message. Hope the phone calls stop. They are a recorded message and when you call back can't always get through. When I finally spoke to live person hope this situation is resolved. Don't know where they get my phone number from and have read other customer complaints re this company and I'm not a customer of theirs and don't intend to ever be.

AmeriLoan pay day loans

My husband received a call on his cell phone from a company saying that I was being taken to court for $1400 that I owed to Ameriloan from 2011. 1st thing is, I never use my husbands number for things 2nd I paid the only loan I ever took from this company in full when it was required. the caller gave my husband my SS# and everything... they gave him contact number for me to call them back at asap. 855-367-****, which I did and they state the call is regarding none payment of a payday loan I took thru ameriloan and never repaid. which is a lie and I told the guy that. he states they are taking me to county court and I will need to show proof that I paid it off, which I will since it was thru my bank acct. Has anyone else received these calls?? WTH is this, I get the bad feeling its a scam of some sort, they say they have all my info.. yet I never received anything in writing from them... seems fishy...

i do believe its a scam now im threatend with court summons and wage garnishment .. ive read to ignore the calls my loan was from 2013 through a bank account thats still active and as far as i can tell i paid off everything

Guest

yes I received a similar call stated almost everything you said and for the same amount of $1400. She then went on to say that since I hadn't paid it went from $1100 to $2200.

Smh God is going to deal with people like these. I pray that he will have mercy on them; because that lady talked rough to me and so unconcerned.

Ameriloan Using Fear & Intimidation to get people to think they owe money

In 2010 I took a loan out with Ameriloan and paid them off. Recently, I received a call from a woman wanting to know where we could meet in order to serve me papers regarding a lawsuit. Once I let her know that I had no intention of meeting her she gave me a case number, company name as ICS and a phone number 844 802-**** to call. The man who answered said he had to look up my case, then told me the call was being recorded. He said that if my case went to court I would be sued for over $3,000.00. I told him I did not owe anything to Ameriloan, but he tried to convince me otherwise and was trying to push me to settle and make a payment. If you get a call like the one I did, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD OR BANK INFORMATION! They are running a scam and playing a numbers game with your money!

You do know that you pay interest, right? Did you read the fine print before you signed?

When you pay attention you can learn something. If the interest sounds ridiculous, you don't have to go through with it.

I don't really understand your complaint. If you agreed then why did you do it?

You are not obligated to pay them back. Look at your state guidelines for payday loans. Ameriloan interest rates are well past your state regulations.

Very High interest and now they not taking Applications renew?

I didn't realized how much interest I would be paying for a $700 loan. "Pay down the loan", I ended up paying close to $2000 over 10 months!! This tactic will make poor people poorer. My second complaint is ever since my loan was paid off (10/2013), they are having "processing" problems. Bull*&^T! Why are people answering the phones? How are they paying these workers for the last 4 months? How are they paying the people to "resolve" their processing problems? Personnel I think these places are taking advantage of the economy. They will be gone once we are back on our feet. People stay strong. If you have friends or relatives that you can borrow do so. Give them back 10% for the thanks of helping you

Borrowed $800.00, and with intrest it became over $2000.00

I made an quick loan with a company called Ameriloan for $800.00 dollars, and agreed to spread my payments out to twelve months at $240.00 per month. Now I received a letter from them saying that I have to pay off my loan in full $1040.00 ASAP or ? Is this legal? as I read the above this is not legal. Keep in mind that I have already made four payments of $240.00 that equal $960.. The original amount was $800.00 Is this legal? what can I do? I'm 79, retired and living on pension and social security. Theres no way that I can come up with that amount of money. I've enclosed the letter from ameriloan. Hope I can get some help, I don't want them taking any money out of my account without me having a say so. Help Lillian C Young South Carolina Every payday loan lender in South Carolina must obtain a license from the State Board of Financial Institutions. To apply, a payday loan business must have at least $25,000 in assets and provide the following information: legal name and residence of the business, location, financial responsibility, background experience, any partnerships, associations, and corporations adjacent to the licensed location. Under South Carolina law, a payday loan lender cannot lend cash advances unless the customer?s bank account has been verified. Cash advance loan lenders must post a notice that has the fees listed. The most amount of time a payday loan lender can defer a check is 31 days. In addition, payday loan lenders in South Carolina can only lend payday loans up to $300. This amount is one of the lowest compared to other states that offer up to $500. As with other states, the loan agreement must be signed by the customer and the lender. It should contain the name of the lender, the transaction date, the amount of the check, a statement of total fees (expressed in dollars and annual percentage rate). The agreement should give the lender authorization to defer a payday loan for up to 31 days as stated above. The maximum amount of fees any payday lender can charge in South Carolina is 15 percent of the face amount of the check. This fee can only be imposed one time to the borrower. In South Carolina if the check is returned to the payday loan lender due to insufficient funds, closed account, or stop payment, the payday loan lender may pursue all available legal action. Under those circumstances, an additional fee up to $10 can be charged. ________________________________________ Hello Lillian Young Due to payment processing issues we are no longer able to debit your account on your due date. It's because they were robbing people and are illegal in most states. They fix it to where they will make $1,000 or more off a $250 loan, I won't pay them another dime, got a lawyer, illegal in NC.

Closed out my checking acct. they can no longer have control over it and they cannot do a *** thing, they are vulture's and illegal, and are in the process of being sued.

Never give them your ssn loan or not, fight back you have rights don't let these vulture's intimidate youjust because you got one of their measly loans, you will pay it back three fold or more and you are not a slave to the lender in this matter.

Guest

The Federal Trade Commission shut them down. They cannot legally collect anything unless a court reverses this decision.

I have not received a letter but did receive a phone call stating the same, that they would not be able to debit my account any longer. They refuse to send me an email or letter with a new contract/agreement.

I only owe $260, but I am hesitant to send anything without a written agreement since this is outside of the original contract I signed with them when I originally took the loan out.

I live in Tennessee, what should I do. What can I do legally?

Have no further contact with them. quit being soft, these people are not to be messed with they are a mini ponzi scheme.

Guest

The state shut Ameriloan down from doing business in SC. They won't be able to collect what you owe.

Guest

Ameriloan aka United Cash Loans and aka a host of other names lost in court cases for certain states clients. They are no longer taking monthly payments from checking accounts and they now want you to pay off what you borrowed plus interest. You will no longer have extended payments with them.

Guest

I also received a letter saying they can no longer take my money out of my checking acct. so I gave them my debit card to take the payment out, did I do the wrong thing, can I trust them.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-728537

Yes you did the wrong thing, cancel out that debit card asap. Never but ever give them a debit card no.

or checking acct # for God's sake, quit apologizing, you are the victim here.

If you think you just have to pay them anything which I wouldn't, you probably have already paid them dearly in interest fees, do it with a prepaid debit card that way thye don't have access to your bank acct, and do not give them your ssn number. Wise up.

Just a faulty company from the gate...im surprised montel Williams is a spokesperson for them but on the other hand he might be faulty as well. If I was asked to be a spokesperson for a company I would start with my research of the co, or product...im just sayin. $300.oo from ameriloan translates to me paying back a total of $740.oo that's better than the mobsters return again im just sayin I also wonder about people who can hurt people already hurting these type of co are designed for the poor such a tragedy to experience im also one of the poor not mad about being poor but be in taken advantage of

So far-I have used Amerilaon twice. In a pinch.

Yes-interest was high, but at least I had the money when I needed it. Do I agree with such high interest rates that are not going to principal payoff-no. However, when no traditional places will help when a financial crisis hits - not from spending over budget but from medical needs-where does one go?

If anyone knows of other places that help-please let me and others here know. Thanks.

Withholding information

I applied for a small loan - 150 dollars which would be paid back out of a single payment well within my paying ability and paychecks. It took 3 days to get an email stating what I needed to send in in order to get the loan. After sending the documents in, I was given an email that states a denial. It read If I contacted within 30 days I could get a reason. I contacted via phone the next day, and amazingly- I am told I need to contact by mail. The lack of clear information on their webpage and emails is aggravating. I lost no money, but will not be able to a needed service for my house.

Have been paint since December 2012

I received a loan from ameriloan in the amount of 450 dollars back in December 2012. I have been paying anywhere from 185 monthly this is now August 2013 and I still owe 390 dollars. This is a ripoff. The principle going to the loan should be more than the interest that they charge. I paid interest for 4 months before I even started paying on my loan. So basically I am paying over a thousand dollars for a 450 dollar loan. This is so wrong on so many levels. This come and all the rest should be disbursed. They come to your rescue cause they know they are going to be in your pockets and bank accounts for months *** near years.

Stop paying close your account and send them a cease and decist letter. If they are not licensed in your state to do business the the contract is null and void and you do not even have to pay the principle. U just have to deal with the threatening phone calls for awhile bit they will be er take u to court I live in Illinois and they actually have a cease and decist order from the state to business with any consumer in Illinois bc of there unfair/ scamming practices

Guest

I just bought a new 2nd-hand phone and getting daily calls from scameriloan even though I've already registered with our National Do-Not-Call-Registry which now makes it permanent instead of just 5 years ever since the "...Improvement Act" took effect in 2008. And heck yes, of course montel williams is indeed a scammer himself, that's the whole reason he signed up to be part of the scam and how come the scam outfit ameriloan went to offer him a piece of the scam-action in the first place because they already knew full darn well he's a scammer.

I had him fully pegged as a scammer many years ago from thee very first time I saw him feature a popular scammer psychic guest on his tv show which immediately told me he's a desperrate scammer with no scruples willing to do anything to scam a buck off anybody including his closest relatives, that's how all scammers are, they're psychopaths with zero remorse for any of their victims and so I've never watch another one of his shows since that day. And ed mcman is another big-time scammer too, with his sweepstakes scam. Anytime and everytime you see a so-call celebrity helping scammers work a scam on our innocent public don't wonder but take it as a fact of knowledge that the celebrity is a guaranteed crook who can never be trusted.

Sincerely yours, Michael Tsark. (Notice how I don't waste my time in capitalizing their names only because in my book, doo-doo don't rate.)
